MTN Foundation Scholarship 2023 is a yearly award to acknowledge and reward the best and high-performing students in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions. To be eligible for the MTN FoundationScholarship 2023, candidates must be a 300-level student studying science and technology-related courses in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education) and have a minimum of 3.5 CGPA in a 5-point grade scale.

About MTN Foundation Scholarship 2023

MTN Nigeria Communications established the MTN Foundation Scholarship in July 2004 to promote the company’s Corporate Social Investment in improving the quality of lives in communities and promoting education in the country.

This foundation invites applications from high-performing full-time second-year students studying in Nigeria’s public tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education). The scholarship provides financial aid to students who might otherwise be unable to pay for their tertiary education and aims to recognize and reward academic excellence.

The scholarship is open to 200-level students from public Universities and colleges of education in Nigeria. The minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) for any applicant from University is 3.50.

Applicants from public Polytechnics must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program. They must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma program (HND).

Direct entry-level students must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the OND program and secured admission into 300 level/3rd year in a public University.

• Must be a Nigerian

• 200-level blind students studying in any Nigerian Public Tertiary Institution (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).

To apply for the MTN Foundation scholarship, you need to tender the following documents:

• Student ID
• National ID, International passport, Driver’s license, or Voter’s card
• Admission Letter from the school of study and from the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB)

How To Apply And Qualify For MTN Scholarship 2023

To apply for the MTN Foundation Scholarship 2023/2024, visit MTN official website.

In the first stage, you must set up a username and password.

1. From the Home Page Select the “Create Account” button.
2. Enter your Name, E-mail, and password, and select the “Submit” button.
3. Login into the machine using the email address and the password you registered.

Once you’re finished with the first stage, move over to the second stage

1. From the Home Page, Enter your email address and password and click the Login button.
2. After login In, Copy the 12-digit PIN No, and select the “ Apply for Scholarship” button. to begin applying

There are different categories of the MTN Foundation Scholarship.

• MTN Science and Technology Scholarship has been successfully running for 12 years and is open to eligible 300-level students in Nigeria. The scholarship awards N200,000 to 300 successful students annually till graduation if they maintain the required grades. This scholarship is for students studying science and technology-related courses in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education)
• MTN Scholarship for Blind Students, which has been running for ten years successfully, is aimed at awarding qualified and high performing 200 level blind students studying in any Nigerian Public Tertiary Institution (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education). 60 successful blind students are awarded scholarships worth N200,000.00 annually till graduation if they maintain the required grades.
• Top 10 UTME Scholarship, which commenced in 2020, is the latest addition to the MTN Scholarships. Every year, the top 10 scoring candidates are announced by Jamb and are automatically awarded scholarships by MTN to any tertiary institution in Nigeria (private or public). These top 10 successful candidates are also awarded the scholarship irrespective of their preferred course. The successful candidates are awarded scholarships worth N200,000.00 from their 100 level to graduation if they maintain the required grades.
