How Does TOEFL Work?

IELTS
You have 30 minutes to complete the 40 questions on the listening section, broken up into 4 different tasks. The candidate hears four distinct recordings; each played just once. The recordings will feature a range of voices and regional accents; they can be a monologue or a one-on-one conversation about any subject. The types of questions include multiple-choice, matching, labeling maps or diagrams, completing forms, taking notes, summarizing information, and providing brief answers.
TOEFL
The TOEFL section consists of three to four lectures, some of which include classroom discussions. You must respond to 6 questions after each lecture, which lasts between three and five minutes.
