Does FUOYE Write Post UTME?
The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has stopped its post-UTME examinations and now conducts an online screening process for admission candidates. This screening is conducted through the university’s portal, where you are required to pay a screening fee of ₦2,000 and upload your O’level results along with other relevant documents like JAMB result.
The online screening exercise is typically held between July and August each year, and FUOYE also conducts a similar screening for Direct Entry applicants.
Candidates are also advised to use valid email addresses and phone numbers, as these will be used for official communication throughout the admission process.

FUOYE Grading System
FUOYE has introduced a new grading formula for calculating aggregate scores for admission, as confirmed in the ongoing 2025/2026 admission screening registration.
This change affects how both JAMB and O’Level results are calculated, and all applicants are advised to take note and adjust their expectations accordingly.
Here’s the grading point formula:
JAMB Score Calculation:
Multiply your JAMB score by 0.15
O’LEVEL Calculation (Best 5 relevant subjects):
- A1 = 6 points
- B2 = 5 points
- B3 = 4 points
- C4 = 3 points
- C5 = 2 points
- C6 = 1 points
1 sitting = 10, 2 sittings = 6
Add both your JAMB and O’Level points together to get your total aggregate score.
Example Calculation:
JAMB Score = 280. To get your JAMB aggregate score, 280 × 0.15 = 42
O’Level Grades: A1, B2, B3, C4, C5 = 6 + 5 + 3 + 3 + 2 = 19
Total Aggregate = 42 + 19 = 61%.
Conclusion
If your JAMB score is below 160, you are ineligible for FUOYE Post UTME screening. If you have met the JAMB cutoff mark by scoring 160 and above, you must meet additional requirements by achieving your WAEC or NECO to gain higher points and stand a better chance.
FAQs On FUOYE Cut Off Mark 2025
The JAMB cut-off mark is the minimum score FUOYE sets to qualify for post-UTME screening. The departmental cut-off mark, however, is specific to each course and determines your eligibility for admission into that department.
Unfortunately, scoring below the cut-off mark reduces your chances of gaining admission into FUOYE. However, you can explore other options, such as a change of course to one with a lower cut-off mark or consider admission through FUOYE’s pre-degree programs.
The School of Medicine and Surgery expects candidates to score 270 and above to stand a chance.
