About YABATECH
Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) was founded in 1947 as Yaba Higher College. In 1969, the institution gained full autonomy through Decree 23, which empowered it to offer both full-time and part-time education and training in areas such as technology, applied sciences, commerce and management, agriculture, as well as research-driven programmes.
Today, Yaba College of Technology is made up of eight schools and 34 academic departments, delivering about 70 fully accredited programmes at the ND, HND, and Post-HND levels. In addition to its traditional offerings, the College provides online learning options and professional certificate courses.
It runs B.Sc. (Ed) programmes in Technical and Vocational Education, Postgraduate Diplomas in Engineering and Urban and Regional Planning, as well as online and top-up programmes in selected disciplines. These advanced programmes are delivered in collaboration with reputable institutions, including the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; the Federal University of Technology, Akure; and the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti.
Yabatech is located in Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba and they have a second campus in Epe. The campus is home to the Department of Agricultural Technology and Michael Otedola Information and Communication Centre.

Entry Requirements for HND and Professional Diploma
Applicants must meet the following:
- SSCE and JAMB requirements matching the ND course as stated in the current JAMB Brochure.
- A National Diploma with at least Lower Credit in a related course.
- One year of relevant post-ND work experience.
- Bilingual Office Technology and Management students must contact the department for French classes.
For the Professional Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning:
Applicants need an HND with at least Lower Credit in Urban and Regional Planning or related courses such as Architecture or Estate Management.

How To Get YABATECH HND Admission Form
Applicants should visit the official College website at www.yabatech.edu.ng to follow the step-by-step guide for completing and submitting their forms.
Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₦22,500 (not including verification and transaction charges). This payment is to be made online or at the bank as directed on the school’s official website.
Transcripts from ND programmes must reach the Registrar’s Office within six weeks of this notice. Enquiries can be made through the Admissions Department, Room AA 01, Old Administrative Building. Any form submitted after the deadline will not be processed.
