The School of Occupational Health Nursing, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, announces the commencement of admission for the Occupational Health Nursing programme for the 2025–2026 academic session.
About UCH School of Occupational Health Nursing
The UCH (University College Hospital), Ibadan was established in August 1952 in a bid to respond to the urgent need for medical training centers in Nigeria. UCH is located in Ibadan, the then largest city in West Africa, housing the first university in Nigeria.
In November 20, 1957, the University College Hospital Ibadan, was initially commissioned with 500 bed spaces. Currently, the hospital has 1,000 bed spaces and 200 examination couches with occupancy rates ranging from 65% to 70%.
The university runs undergraduate medical programme (based at the College of Medicine of the University of Ibadan), the UCH also provides for: Postgraduate Residency Training Programmes in all specialities of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, Laboratory Medicine, Psychiatry, Community Medicine, Family Medicine, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Neurological Surgery and Dentistry.
The University College Hospital also provides diploma/professional programmes in the School of Health Records & Statistics, Environmental Health Officers Tutors Course; Primary Health Tutors Course, Nurse/Midwife/Public Health Nurse, Nurse Tutors Course, Post-Registration Courses in nursing e.g. Perioperative Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing.

Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be a Registered Nurse
- Must have a current NMCN practice license
- Must have five (5) O’ level credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in no more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).

How To Apply For Admission At UCH
Carefully follow the steps below to apply for admission:
- Visit portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng and pay ₦20,000 via Remita to the UCH TSA Account for the School of Occupational Health Nursing.
- Convert the payment slip to a receipt at the UCH Accounts Department.
- Download the Applicant User Guide from the portal, complete the application online, and submit.
- Print two copies of the application form and photocard for authentication at the School.
- Pay ₦200 to the Oyo State Nursing and Midwifery Council Committee Account (First Bank: 2019704292).
The date and venue of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be communicated to applicants.
